‘I have to test this program and send it to onshore. Today is the deadline. I will be working for another hour atleast,’ said Dia from office. As an afterthought, she added, ‘Let us order dinner, it will be too late when I get home.’
‘Don’t worry about dinner. You focus on your testing. Be careful. Don’t make mistakes. Call me when you reach the station. I will pick you up,’ said Sameer.
Two hours later, Dia comes home to the aroma of a hot dinner of rotis, dal, rice and vegetables.
Sameer had to cook again, she winces.
‘Thanks Sameer for making dinner,’ she puts down her laptop and hugs Sameer.
‘Dia, do I thank you for cooking food anytime? You don’t have to feel guilty. Remember, behind every successful IT program, there is an equally hard-working spouse.’
