Quote Challenge : Day 2 of 3

Quote Challenge : Day 2 of 3

I’ve been seeing the ‘Quote Challenge’ doing rounds for couple of weeks now.  I have been really enjoying them.  Finally, Parul nominated me for the challenge.  Here’s my second quote.

Remove the ear plugs playing non-stop music from your Ipod or cellphone or mp3 player or whatever.  Listen to the sounds of life outside.   Some are soothing, some are jarring, but be aware of your surroundings.  Believe me, you will survive.

Stop chatting and texting on the phone.  Ok, maybe not all the time.  Instead,  call up the person and speak to him.  Even better,  meet him in person.   See him.  Touch him.  It’s so much more pleasurable.

Stop playing video games on your computer, or cell phones.  Give up on the Playstation or Xbox.  Playing outdoors is so much better and healthier.

Give up the dependence on these gadgets which want us to stare at the screen.  Log off.  Shut down.

Logon to life.  It is beautiful.

P.S.  I do not know the source for this quote.

Today I nominate the bloggers who are following their passions which is different from their jobs; Ravish Mani,  Jiths, Shefali Rao.

Thank you Parul for nominating me for this wonderful challenge.

This is what the 3-Day Quote Challenge is all about.

1. Post one of your favorite quotes (different quote on each day) on three consecutive days. The quote can be from your favorite book, author, or your own.
2. Nominate 3 bloggers to challenge them.
3. Thank the blogger, who nominated you.

  1. Don’t mind an unknown source, when the thought behind it is quite lovely 🙂 Yes, sometimes we forget that life is happening outside too, and we drift into the world in our screens. Beautiful thoughts to accompany the quote too.

  2. Agree one hundred percent. I make it a point to walk out with the kids on weekend mornings. It’s absolute bliss to look at the greenery and the flowers that lie fallen on the roads.

  3. Oh , you also know Parul. She is the one who Reviewed my Book : Journey from Guwahati to Machhiwara . And I could be No 11 in Notion Press Site

  4. Oh yes, we must log out of our gadgets and log on to life!! Just last month, we were at a resort for a training workshop and I saw a family of three, huddled outside their hut but all three busy with their respective gadgets.
