  1. this is one of the best stories that I have come across.. though I have watched the movie not read the book.. Liesel has been in my heart ever since..

  2. Like you, I was (still am) a bit hesitant to read this… I don’t know. I just fear that the ending would depress me… I don’t know it but seeing all the circumstances at the very beginning (not to mention, knowing that Death is the narrator) kind of stops me from continuing.

  3. No body likes to lend books these days, it is such a sad thing. You can try some online libraries that let you rent and return books.

More often than not books we have least expectations about turn out to be the best ones that we have read. And then we realize that it sure was worth the buy. I shall pick up this book this year.

And I hope you are better now after your surgery.

  4. Love this book so much! Liesel is one of my favourite characters! And of course, Death 🙂 It’s such a brilliant book but I think since then, Zusak has not been able to write his next one…I remember it was due in 2012 or 2013 and now it’s 2016 and it hasn’t come out yet. The pressure to live up to this must be so high!
