R is for Romancing the Reader #atozchallenge

I discovered these amazing blogs through the A to Z challenge.  Do visit and share some blog love.

TanGental – A daily walk through places in London.

Stefanie Ingram –  Love her beautiful stories about visitors from beyond.

Meanwhile, read another slice of life about Dia and Sameer.

Dia put down the E-reader and switched off the light.  The E-Reader was gifted by Sameer on her birthday the first time they were together.

The next morning,  she picked up the Kindle again for some exciting read.  But alas,  she had to prepare breakfast.  Feeling irritated,  she asked Sameer to hep her.

Dia and Sameer were in the kitchen preparing breakfast.  Sameer was on the floor scraping the coconut and Dia was kneading the dough to make some puttu.  Dia loved to have traditional breakfasts on Sundays.  On the other days,  its a grab and go of bread or cornflakes or rotis.   The doorbell rang and Dia went to get it.

It was the online shopping guy.  Surprised,  Dia asked, ‘Did you order something, Sameer?’

‘Yes,  for you.  Check it out.’

She opened the box and it was the latest E-reader.

‘I already have one.  Why did you get me another one?’

‘So, you can read even at night.’

‘Aww.. thank you so much.  How did you know that I wanted this?’

Sameer scratched his head and said,  ‘ Just a wild guess.’

**This has been written for the A to Z Challenge 2016. My theme is A to Z in the life of Dia and Sameer, a geek and non-geek couple.  Short stories on their approach to daily life.  Do you know people like them?  Do share the stories with me. ***

The characters Dia and Sameer are fully imaginary.  Any likeness to people is purely coincidental.   The views are the characters’ own and light-hearted.  They are not endorsements.

  2. I am smiling after I read. Now I want Sameer. Can you please convey him that my birthday is in December. LOlz such a lovely read Lata. What else to ask God if you have such a caring partner. Keep posting. Thanks.

  3. Nice one! My Kindle is the best gift I received – it meant that I no longer had to carry 2-3 books with me all the time. When we had our son, this was a life saver in all those random waking hours.
