Today, check out the blog of Dr. Roshan Radhakrishnan’s Godyears. No, he doesn’t need additional traffic or any more recognition. He is the best. Just check out his A to Z posts based on TV sitcoms. Each post is a complete analysis, additional trivia and a one place stop for the series. I have not seen a more detailed and interesting post from a blogger.
‘Sameer, it is a musical performance, you have to wear a kurta,’ wailed Dia.
‘Who says so?’ asked Sameer.
‘It is the norm. Everyone will be in traditional wear. You look absolutely good in a Kurta. Wear that rust colored one. ‘
‘Traditional wear! Then I will wear a mundu and a veshti. hahaha,’ said Sameer breaking into laughter ‘I can even fold the mundu and tuck it in.’
Dia stared in horror. ‘You will not do that.’
‘But, that’s our tradition. Even for our wedding, I wore the same thing. This is a good occasion to wear it.’ Sameer was grinning from ear to ear.
‘In that case, I am not going to wear a sari. I am wearing jeans.’
‘Cool. Then my clothes are decided.’
Later in the evening, Sameer said to Dia, ‘Didn’t I tell you the music will be great? It was more a pleasure in my jeans.. It felt like home.’
**This has been written for the A to Z Challenge 2016. My theme is A to Z in the life of Dia and Sameer, a geek and non-geek couple. Short stories on their approach to daily life. Do you know people like them? Do share the stories with me. ***
The characters Dia and Sameer are fully imaginary. Any likeness to people is purely coincidental. The views are the characters’ own and light-hearted. They are not endorsements.
